Gedlich Racing launches GT summer series for 2026

Gedlich Racing is launching a GT summer series for 2026 featuring GT3/GT4 and major single-make classes. For punters: deeper, mixed grids and a 50-minute pit-stop race favour backing established GT teams and endurance specialists, while GTX/Cup X entrants could offer value as long-odds outsiders.

Gedlich Racing launches inaugural GT Summer Series for 2026

Gedlich Racing has confirmed a GT summer series for 2026, marking the championship’s first expansion beyond its established winter programme. The series aims to blend professional and amateur competitors in multi-class GT action across Germany and central to northern Europe.

Eligible cars and single-make entries

The championship will accept GT3 and GT4 machinery alongside a selection of single-make categories: Lamborghini Super Trofeo, Ferrari Challenge, Porsche Cup and the McLaren Trophy. Cars that fall outside traditional class definitions will be accommodated in GTX and Cup X categories to ensure broad grid diversity.

Race weekend format and testing

Race weekends will mirror the winter series format with two 30-minute sprint races and a 50-minute pit-stop endurance race. Each event will include 15-minute qualifying sessions and practice runs, with dedicated test days available to teams ahead of race weekends.

Commercials, entries and calendar

Entry cost is set at €4,000 per event. The full 2026 calendar and technical regulations will be announced in coming months, with races expected to be staged across Germany and central to northern Europe.

Betting implications and what punters should watch

The mixed grid of established manufacturer-backed entries and single-make specialists means form lines will vary by class. Punters may favour teams with consistent multi-car support and proven endurance strategy for the 50-minute pit-stop races. GTX and Cup X entries, being less predictable, could present higher-value long-shot opportunities. Monitor pre-season testing and practice session times closely—those sessions will reveal which amateur-pro pairings can challenge the regular frontrunners.
